#WorldPTDay, initiated and organized by World Physiotherapy, is an annual event on the 8th of September. In 2023, this day will center its focus on arthritis, focusing on various forms of inflammatory arthritis, such as rheumatoid arthritis and axial spondyloarthritis.
The IOPTMH wishes to commemorate this significant occasion by emphasizing the crucial role of mental health in individuals living with arthritis. As physiotherapists, we have a significant responsibility in addressing and enhancing the mental well-being of our patients. Please find below, on the poster, five essential facts regarding the intersection of arthritis and mental health.
Thank you for the wonderful infographic regarding the intersection of arthritis and mental health. I plan to use this in an upcoming presentation on physical therapy for mental health and have reposted it with acknowledgement to you on LinkedIn, plus will share more so it can possibly reach more and help as many people to understand how physical and mental health go hand in hand. There’s no health without mental health. In gratitude, Caryn McAllister
