In celebration of World Physiotherapy Day and the role of physiotherapy and physical activity in prevention, management and rehabilitation of cardiovascular disease and stroke, the IOPTMH is pleased to share the infographics "Heart, Stroke and Mental Health - what physiotherapists need to know".
(Resources developed by the Clinical Practice and Education Committee of the IOPTMH).

World Physiotherapy Day is held each year on 8 September, marking the date World Physiotherapy was founded in 1951. Since its designation in 1996, the day has become an important opportunity to celebrate the profession’s global contribution.
The day highlights the unity and solidarity of the international physiotherapy community and recognises the valuable work physiotherapists do for individuals, patients and communities https://world.physio/wptday

We also share a press release from IOPTMH member Greece and the Greek Physiotherapy in Mental Health Specialty Group.
Members are encouraged to promote World Physiotherapy Day and highlight the profession’s contribution to mental health and wellbeing.
All resources are available to be shared by members and their networks.
